For their 13th season, Steve Stone and the Emerald City Jazz Kings go back to the movies! Three all-new Jazz Kings programs focusing on movie musicals from 3 of the studios known for great musicals, each with a special emphasis on the stars most associated with that studio.
For their 2006-07 season the Jazz Kings celebrated RKO, Paramount and M-G-M, which meant lots of great tunes; but there was so much more we couldn’t touch on, so Steve declared another season should be dedicated to some of his other favorite studios.
So this year it’s Warner Brothers (October), 20th Century Fox (February), and Universal Studios (May). Don't miss out on any of it!
And we're pleased to bring back again this year our 3rd annual Christmas At The Shedd, both in Eugene and Florence. Designed by Jazz Kings lead singer Shirley Andress with music direction by Jazz Kings pianist Vicki Brabham, Christmas At The Shedd 2008 is entitled "Home For The Holidays" and will feature many of your favorites from Christmas 2006 and 2007 as well as many great new songs as well. This concert is not a required part of your 2008-09 Jazz Kings season subscription, but it can be added on for a discount, so make sure to reserve the date today!
