For our 11th anniversary season, we're going to the movies! Join us for 3 all-new Jazz Kings programs focussing on movie musicals
from the golden age of the form. Each concert features a different studio known for its fantastic musicals, with a special emphasis
on the stars most associated with that studio. In October, we offer "A Fine Romance: Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers and RKO". In February
its "Swingin' On A Star: Bing Crosby and Paramount". Finally, in May Steve and the gang turn to "Get Happy! Judy Garland, Gene Kelly
and M-G-M.
And don't miss this year's two Jazz Kings specials! As we've done for several years now, we're pleased to welcome clarinetist Ken Peplowski for yet another big band/jazz extravaganza, this year a tribute to Benny Goodman's legendary 1937 Carnegie Hall concert. And brand new this year, we're pleased to bring you our first even Christmas concert, designed by Jazz Kings lead singer Shirley Andress with music direction by Jazz Kings pianist Vicki Brabham. Also on hand will be our regular Jazz Kings guys, Michael Stone and Bill Hulings, along with one of the original Jazz Kingers, Bob Cross!
