The Shedd’s Acoustic Guitar Camp is designed to accommodate students of all experience levels, to provide clear instruction, and inspiration to start them down their individual paths of creative expression. For one week, students will meet for four hours a day, starting at the very beginning with the sky as the limit. There will be a focus on playing as a group and different roles are assigned based on incoming skill level. Singing is encouraged but not required. The material we cover will focus on rock music from the 1950’s to the present. Through the course of the week, students will get to work on a variety of song styles such as London Calling by The Clash, Feelin’ Good by Nina Simone, and I Got You by James Brown
